Emma Louise is a critically acclaimed singer-songwriter based in Brisbane, Australia. She released her debut EP ’ Full Hearts & Empty Rooms’ in early 2011.
Emma Louise won ‘Breakthrough Independent Artist’ at the 2011 Independent Music Awards, whilst collecting awards for ‘Song of the Year’, ‘Best Pop Song’ and ‘Best Singer-Songwriter’ at the 2011 Queensland Music Awards. Her haunting debut single ‘Jungle’ featured on Greys Anatomy and promos for ABC series “The Slap”.
She has toured with the likes of Josh Pyke, TiGERTOWN and Boy & Bear.
19 year old singer-songwriter Marcus Gordon, AKA Spookyland, seems to have achieved a lot for his relatively young age – regular spots on national festivals, a solo tour of the east coast and critical acclaim pouring in from around the country. And it looks as though he’s at somewhat of a crossroads, having made the decision to flesh out Spookyland into a full band and let the bigger sound and collaboration guide the project into the next stage of its life.
But before he leaves the solo thing behind for good Spookyland has produced one more video for the track “Failures” from last year’s EP Killin’ One Bird With Two Stones. “Failures” was filmed entirely in Gordon’s bedroom and can be watched below:
Oh yes!! Chris Lilley’s got a new comedy series coming to HBO called Angry Boys. Can’t wait to see this! I’ve been a fan of Chris Lilley’s TV shows — Summer Heights High and We Can Be Heroes — and I have no doubt this is going to be absolutely hilarious.

Tame Impala are an Australian band who have the world at their feet after their brilliant debut album entitled Innerspeaker landed earlier this year. Megaforce are the creators of absorbing music promos that respect and enhance the listening experience. Together they have taken a beautiful piece of music and made four minutes stuffed full of drama.
So! The ARIA's (Australian Record Industry Association awards) are taking place this weekend, so taste some Australian ear candy! :)
