Chill things this Friday!

You may be familiar with Swedish sister-duo First Aid Kit. Both born in the 90s, the young act have quickly risen to notoriety with their sweet and simple approach to folk. “Winter Is All Over You” was on their first album The Big Black & Blue, but this remix actually only came out after their *second* album was released. Perhaps Baauer was feeling sentimental?

First Aid Kit play Dublins Vicar Street Nov 25th.

Slightly Belle + Sebastian

Ryland Blackinton had written a few songs which were heavily rooted in bossa nova and folk music. Alex Suarez quickly learned the songs and brought a cohesive poppy edge to them. The culmination of the two styles produced a folky-pop sound that both were pleased with, creating .This Is Ivy League This was the basis of their first single, “London Bridges,” which was released by indie label Twentyseven Records in 2006. Their debut full-length was released April 1, 2008.

“Love is what’s in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen.” Bobby – age 7
“If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate.” Nikka – age 6
“There are two kinds of love.  Our love.  God’s love. But God makes both kinds of them.” Jenny – age 8
“Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday.” Noelle – age 7
“Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well.”  Tommy – age 6
