Meet Soundgirl consisting of Olivia, Little Nikki and Izzy B. Currently on tour in the UK with Pixie Lott.
All hailing from London town, Izzy B and Nikki hung out at school and began singing together before hooking up with one of their neighbourhood friends, Olivia – SoundGirl were born.
Influenced by the sounds of TLC, Salt’n’Pepa, Aailyah, Destiny’s Child and Rihanna, the girls are bringing back the classic sounds of Old School R’n’B while keeping it fresh with Epic songs and even bigger beats.
Working with the people behind Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Beyonce, Cheryl Cole and Fergie, the girls are preparing to take over the airwaves.

CAKE is a band formed in 1991 in Sacramento, California, United States. They have had several hits throughout the 1990s and 2000s from their six albums.
Although CAKE’s music is often classified as alternative or indie rock, it combines multiple musical genres, such as funk, pop, jazz, rap, and country. CAKE’s music features droll lyrics rife with word play and syncopation (laconically voiced in a rap-like style by lead vocalist/guitarist John McCrea), catchy distorted guitar riffs (courtesy of guitarist Greg Brown until 1998, and bass player to Victor Damiani until 1997), and a solo trumpet (played by Vince DiFiore). CAKE’s musical style has been compared to They Might Be Giants, Talking Heads, The Cars, and Camper Van Beethoven.
It Was Only A Matter Of Time of the Day: Mattel is producing an Angry Birds-inspired card-based strategy game called “Angry Birds: Knock on Wood,” which is due in stores this May (USA).
The game comes with three Angry Birds figurines, four pigs, 14 blocks, 56 different mission cards and a slingshot, and is expected to retail for $14.99.
Beach House is a dream pop group which formed in 2005 in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. The group consists of Victoria Legrand (vocals, organ) and Alex Scally (guitar, keyboards). Legrand is the niece of french composer Michel Legrand.
The band release their third album "Teen Dream" last year, produced and engineered by Chris Coady (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV on the Radio, Grizzly Bear). The album's unanimously good reviews have gained the band a much larger fan base, with celebrities such as Jay-Z and Beyonce being spotted at their shows.
Florrie is a 22 year old English singer-songwriter and drummer, not to mention the face of Nina Ricca! A busy lady by the sounds of things! She played in the Xenomania house band and played drums on bona-fide pop hits by Girls Aloud, Pet Shop Boys and Alesha Dixon.
Her latest track ‘Come Back to Mine’ featuring production by Moguai (recently signed to DeadMau5′s label) is her best yet – a six minute electro disco-stepper which has traits of all the best kind of pop music – big changes, big melodies, big production. Watch out for more from Florrie, destined to be a hit in 2011!

The Cinematic Orchestra is a U.K.-based jazz and electronic outfit, created in the late 1990s by Jason Swinscoe, which records on the Ninja Tune independent record label.
Other members include Tom Chant (saxophone), Phil France (double bass), Luke Flowers (drums), Nick Ramm (piano), Stuart McCallum (guitar); former members include Jamie Coleman (trumpet), T. Daniel Howard (drums), Alex James (piano), and Patrick “PC” Carpenter (turntables).
In both live and studio context, the Cinematic Orchestra employ a live band which improvises along with a turntablist and electronic elements such as samples provided by Swinscoe. In their studio releases Swinscoe will often remix the live source material to produce a finished product that is seamless combination of live jazz improvisation with electronics, such that it is difficult to tell where the improvisation ends and the production begins. It is worth mentioning that in the sound of the Cinematic Orchestra the role of traditional solo instruments, such as piano or wind instruments, is not the same as in traditional jazz; instead of performing intricate solos they provide a mature accompaniment environment and quite often there is more space for the drums and the double bass to have a lead role.
The Cinematic Orchestra have been noted for their new score to the classic 1929 Dziga Vertov’s Russian film Man with a Movie Camera. They worked on two other scores. They recorded some tracks for “Ils se marièrent et eurent beaucoup d’enfants” (2004) and made the music for the Disney Nature movie “The Crimson Wing” (2009).
