What we look like, on a computer....

It’s a surprise to me that this video is still even up online. But here’s why it’s special: A guy named Kyle McDonald installed some sort of software/hack (I really don’t want to get into it) on over 100 computers at the Apple Store in the Meatpacking in NYC and recorded a picture of a face about every minute from the computer’s webcam.

Good tune for a Saturday morning.

Au Revoir!

Au Revoir Simone is an indie pop band from Brooklyn, New York that formed in late 2003. The group consists of Erika Forster (vocals/keyboard), Annie Hart (vocals/keyboard), and Heather D’Angelo (vocals/drum machine/keyboard).

The band name comes from a minor character in Tim Burton’s Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure.

NME said in an article about the band: "Au Revoir Simone must have beamed in from a land where lace clouds breeze over crystal lakes and icicles grow from the warm earth. This New York three-piece's glorious synth-lead alt-folk will leave you crying on the stairs in the middle of the night."[citation needed] The group defined itself as playing "warm and electronic music with forthright female vocalists."

"Powered by vintage keyboards, a lockstep beat-box, and gorgeous, wide-eyed warbling, the Simones create make-out music for your inner android" - Spin

Adele Wants Third Album To Be Acoustic

Adele has revealed that she wants her third album to have more of an acoustic feel.

Fresh from the success of her sophomore record, 21, the Rolling In The Deep star has told Q magazine that her next LP will be more "acoustic and piano-led".

The 23-year old, who is rumoured to be in talks with Jay-Z about a collaboration, revealed to the publication: "I’ve accumulated some things to write about again. I’d go into the studio tomorrow if I could."

"It won’t be a big production. I want it to be quite acoustic and piano-led. I want to write it, record it, producer it all and master it on my own."

The Someone Like You hitmaker added: “I think it’ll take a lot longer because I want to do it this way. When I move house in the summer, my sound engineer is going to come and help me install a studio and teach me how to use it.”

As for whether she feels pressure to achieve the same success as 21 with it's follow-up, Adele claimed: "I don’t really care about expectations. There was enough of it with this record. If you deliver the songs I think you get away with it. I’m not bothered. I’m not expecting my next record to be as big as this one. That’s impossible.”

Last week, reports also suggested that Adele was forced to cancel a duet with Beyoncé at Glastonbury Festival, after suffering from a bout of laryngitis.

You’re in for a sonic treat and an aural treat

The newest video from post-rock masters Explosions in the Sky for their song ‘Last Known Surroundings’ off their most recent LP, Take Care, Take Care, Take Care. As a matter of fact, it’s the only official video that Explosions in the Sky have put out in the 12 years they’ve been making records.

This is the type of music that can help wind you down at the end of the day, an anti stress masterpiece that is perfect for anything from a ride in the car to a nap in a hammock. Go into the album expecting nothing, let it clear your mind and dictate your thoughts itself.
Take Care, Take Care, Take Care is a beautiful album, and anyone who is anybody should buy it.
