Little Comets - "The Isles" by director Aoife McArdie is one for the photographer in you to savour. Yes, it’s moving image, but the photographic eye employed throughout is the real star of the show, depicting the British Isles through a wonderfully absorbent lens. The Comets must be dead happy.

New OK Go video gets over one million hits in first 24 hours (NME)

The new music video by Ok Go has been seen by over one million people in its first 24 hours, and you can see it below.

Released yesterday (September 20) on YouTube, the promo for their new single 'White Knuckles' has become yet another viral hit for the band, following the global success for the videos of 'A Million Ways', 'WTF?' and 'Here It Goes Again'.

"It took 124 takes," frontman Damian Kulash told NME about the video, which features the band and a collection of well trained dogs. "There were many more starts and stops but we actually have slates for 124 full takes. The video you see is one whole take and what you see is all take 72."

Currently seen over 1.3 million times, the singer explained that they are shocked by the number of people who have seen the promo already.

"It's mind-boggling," he admitted. "I don't think the brain is wired for comprehending those kind of numbers. Last night it was 100,000 hits and I woke up this morning with it being, like, over one million."

As for the future, Kulash was quick to reassure fans that they haven't run out of ideas for more videos, with the next one set to be released in November.

"We're releasing another probably on November 1," he revealed. "There are plenty more down the line we're working on too. We make our videos like we make our songs, so there are plenty of threads of stuff floating around, you're just not always sure if it's going to turn into something yet."

Set to embark on a North American tour in early October, the band will also be at the British Film Institute (BFI) in London this Friday (September 24), where a number of their videos will be screened and the group will take part in a special question and answer session. The Drums Guitarist Quits

Band to continue tour with stand-in guitarist.

One of the hottest indie bands of 2010, The Drums, have lost a guitarist in the middle of their North American tour.
The band used their website to announce that they were "devestated" by Adam Kessler's decision to quit the band stating, "there have been some questions as to recent events and we are sorry to say that Adam has left The Drums."
There is no official word as to who will replace Kessler, who was not one of the band's founding members.

Beck and Devendra Banhart – ‘Life During Wartime’

Beck and Devendra Banhart have collaborated on a track for Todd Solonz’ latest film Life During Wartime. The lyrics were written by Solonz while the song was actually written by composer Marc Shaiman. Beck produced and sang backing vocals and obviously, that Devendra singing the main part. It sounds like a good opening song to a, if Solonz films is anything to go by (hello paedophile black comedy Happiness which this film follows up), the calm before the storm.
